Can you do these things for yourself?

In the contemporary era of hustle culture and fast-paced life, our mental health takes a toll. So, it is extremely crucial for us to take care of our mental health.

Here are some of the things which I do and has helped me to improve my mental health:

1. Journalling

Journalling is the most effective way, I believe, to vent out our feelings and flush out all the unwanted thoughts by putting them on paper. It helps us to organize our thoughts and feelings. It helps you calm down and makes you feel fulfilled and satisfied.

2. Expressing Gratitude

Saying thank you for the smallest of things has a very significant impact on us. It helps us to count on our blessings and we, thus feel privileged and loved. It sows seeds of positive feelings in our mind. Thus, expressing gratitude is a great way to improve our mental health.

3. Self-talk and introspection

Our soul is a boundless ocean. Looking within and self-reflecting helps us to unlock the different aspects of ourselves. We get to know more about the virtues and vices within us. We get enlightened with all the different sides of us which further broadens our horizons of mind.

4. Taking frequent breaks

It is very essential to keep taking intermittent breaks to keep refreshing ourselves. No matter how much we perceive non-stop working as productive but it is not true at all. A human mind can’t possibly focus for long and if we keep forcing ourselves to concentrate, everything inside our head gets mixed up and we end up screwing things more than ever. Thus, it is necessary that we take small breaks.

Disclaimer: These are solely my personal views and perceptions and I gladly embrace the difference in the approaches we might have. Also, the suggestions that I give are also subjective and I don’t intend to dictate anyone. Kindly don’t mind the errors if any. Not an expert in English. Thanks for reading!😊
