How to wipe the slate of life clean?

As we all know, the pandemic has wreaked havoc in our lives. With the second wave in full bloom, the previous year was a challenging period for all of us. It was draining and exhausting, mentally and physically both. However, trying to get back to our old lovely lives, we can certainly begin the new year with a new outlook towards life and new strategies and moves or as the adage goes “New year new you”.

For this purpose, I’d like to impart my tips that would help you to start on a fresh and positive note.

1.Get a second wind

As I said earlier, life has been super tedious and listless. It has almost transformed into something stoic and lifeless that keeps playing on repeat. It has become more of a surviving struggle rather than a life with wings. So, to restart, rejuvenating yourself and giving yourself a break is a must.

2.Gulp a drink endowed with motivation, inspiration and vigor:

Boost yourself with confidence and faith. Watch motivational videos, read something that evokes a wave of inspiration in you or simply surround yourself with people who give positive vibes and who push you forward. Energize yourself.

3. Exercise

Well, you might be wondering how is that a cue to a fresh start. Your guess was as good as mine until I got acquainted with the plethora of benefits that regular physical exercise can give us. I realized that increase in our physical strength is just the tip of the iceberg. It releases hormones called endorphins which are also known as ‘feel-good’ hormones. These hormones enable us to feel gratified and exhilarated. It is also proved that daily physical workouts lead to increased productivity rate.

4. Steer away from distractions

Distractions often make us go off the rails. They are misleading and seem to be so appealing that we tend to forget everything but unwanted pests. Hence, it is vital that you seek ways to keep your diversions away from yourself in each way possible to remain focused and concentrated on your goals. I mentioned this in my previous blog also (Link to the previous blog: ), I would like to point this out here as well because it is of utmost importance to try as hard as possible.

5.Take baby steps

Tiny steps of progress one after the other with perseverance ultimately lead to success. So, it is redundant and futile to be harsh on yourself and burden yourself with unrealistic expectations.
